What free things can you do with kids in Dubai?
Waha lists 38 free places and clubs for children in Dubai: 17 public parks, 9 public beaches, 8 public libraries, 2 more free days out and 2 free classes. The parks and beaches cost nothing to enter, the libraries are free to walk into, and each place links to its own Waha page with its area, hours and directions. The list was read from Waha’s live listings in October 2026.
Which Dubai parks are free?
17 of the public parks on Waha are free to enter, among them Al Barsha Pond Park, Al Khawaneej Pond Park, Al Khazzan Park, Al Nahda Pond Park, Al Sufouh Park and Al Twar Pond Park. The big destination parks charge a small gate fee per person: Al Mamzar Beach Park AED 5, Creek Park AED 5, Mushrif National Park AED 3, Safa Park AED 3 and Zabeel Park AED 5 (Gulf News, 6 October 2026). Children aged two and under usually go in free, and some parks take payment by Nol card at the gate. Rides, pools and attractions inside a park are paid separately.
Are Dubai public beaches free?
Yes. The 9 public beaches on Waha cost nothing to walk onto or swim at; you pay only for extras such as sunbeds, lockers or parking in some areas. Dubai Municipality lists Umm Suqeim 2 Beach (Sunset Beach) as open to the public around the clock, with lifeguards from sunrise to sunset, and at JBR “swimming is free” while sunbeds and cabanas are for hire (The National). Jumeirah 2 Beach, Jumeirah 3 Beach and Kite beach have floodlit night-swimming zones with lifeguards after dark.
Are Dubai libraries free for kids?
Yes, walking in and reading are free at the 8 public libraries on Waha, and most Dubai Public Libraries branches have a children’s section with summer and winter camps (Dubai Culture). Borrowing books needs a Dubai Public Libraries membership, which Dubai Culture issues for five years; a child’s membership lasts until the child turns 12. Mohammed Bin Rashid Library in Al Jaddaf welcomes children aged 5 and over, and children under 5 can’t go in.
Are there free classes for kids in Dubai?
286 activity providers on Waha publish a free trial class, each one checked on the provider’s own page; the Free trial filter on Waha’s browse page shows them by area and age. Al Marmoom Initiative and Markaz Al Huda list their sessions as free.
