Are parks in Dubai free?
Most Dubai Municipality community and pond parks are free to enter. The large destination parks (Zabeel Park, Creek Park, Safa Park, Mushrif National Park and Al Mamzar Beach Park) charge a small gate fee of AED 3 to 5 per person, paid with a Nol card, with the youngest children free. Attractions inside a park, such as Dubai Frame, Dubai Garden Glow or a park swimming pool, are ticketed separately.
Which Dubai parks have playgrounds for kids?
Every public park has at least one fenced playground, and the large parks have several spread between the picnic lawns, so a family can settle near one. The pond parks (Al Barsha, Al Khawaneej, Al Nahda, Al Twar, Ghadeer Al Tair) put a playground beside a lit walking track around the lake, which is how most families use them in the evening.
What are Dubai park opening hours?
Most parks open in the morning, around 8am, and close late in the evening, with longer hours at weekends and on public holidays. Hours change for Ramadan and national holidays, so check the park’s own page before an evening visit. Playgrounds are busiest after sunset from April to October, when the heat eases.
Can you barbecue in Dubai parks?
Yes, in the designated BBQ areas. Al Mamzar Beach Park has more than 30 public barbecue spots, Mushrif and Creek Park have marked BBQ zones, and several community parks have pits. Barbecues outside the marked areas are not allowed, so bring your own charcoal, use the pits and take rubbish with you.
Which parks in Dubai have a lake or boating?
Zabeel Park, Safa Park and Al Barsha Pond Park have lakes with pedal boats for hire, and the pond parks are built around a lake with a walking track. Al Qudra Lakes and Love Lake in the desert are free to visit but have no facilities, so they suit a sunset picnic more than a day with toddlers.
