Sunset Beach

Sunset Beach is a free public beach on Jumeirah Beach Road in Umm Suqeim, the 615 m strip right next to Burj Al Arab that Dubai Municipality calls Umm Suqeim 2 Beach. It is divided into swimming-only areas and a surfing-only area, so keep small children in the swimming zone where the water is calmer, and there is a jogging track, public beach lounges and an access corridor for prams, wheelchairs and grandparents. Lifeguards are at their posts from sunrise to sunset; it is not one of the night-swimming beaches, and swimmers are called out of the water whenever the red flag flies. The beach is open around the clock with free entry, and it fills up at sunset because this is the Burj Al Arab photo spot.
