Kite beach

Kite Beach is a free public beach on Jumeirah Beach Road in Umm Suqeim 1, the 2.4 km stretch Dubai Municipality calls Umm Suqeim 1 Beach, with Burj Al Arab in view. Kitesurfers and jet skis have their own zones away from the swimming area, and along the sand there are Kids playground areas, a jogging track and boardwalk, beach lounges and access ramps, plus food trucks and shops behind the beach. Lifeguards are on duty from sunrise, and this is one of Dubai Municipality's three lit night-swimming beaches, so there is a lifeguarded zone for swimming after dark. Entry is free and the beach is open around the clock; paid parking is along the road and weekends get very busy. Keep children inside the buoyed swimming zone and out of the water whenever the red flag is up.
