JBR Beach (The Beach)

JBR Beach is a free public beach in Dubai Marina, the long strip of sand in front of The Beach and The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence. Swimming is free, and along the sand you can rent sunbeds, towels and lockers, pay a small fee for the showers, and book parasailing, banana boats and other watersports, while behind the beach The Beach has a 600 m running track, Carnival by the Sea rides, dozens of restaurants and an outdoor cinema. The operator does not publish lifeguard hours, and night swimming is not allowed, so treat this as a daytime swimming beach and keep out of the water whenever the red flag is up. The Beach's shops open 10am to 11pm Sunday to Thursday and 10am to midnight Friday and Saturday; paid parking is at The Beach and the Dubai Tram JBR stations are a short walk away. Weekends and winter evenings are very crowded.
