About The Warrior Academy

The Warrior Academy teaches karate, Jiu Jitsu and other martial arts disciplines to children from age 2, at dojos in Jumeirah Islands, Al Quoz and Arjan in Dubai, plus one in Abu Dhabi. Classes are grouped by age: Little Warriors (2-3), Junior (4-6), Senior (7-9), Pre Teen (10-12) and Teen (13+). The academy describes its approach as the Warrior Method: physical training combined with character development, focus, self-control and an anti-bullying focus, with belt progression marking each step. Every new student starts with an introductory session so parents and children can see the dojo and meet the instructors before committing. Each branch page also lists family, weapons and sparring classes. Pick a branch on this page to see its address, opening hours and contact details.

The activity

Martial Arts, explained

Martial arts classes for children mix structured drills, technique and games. At The Warrior Academy that means karate and Jiu Jitsu alongside other disciplines, with a belt system that gives children a clear path of small wins as they progress. Beyond kicks and holds, sessions focus on self-control, respect for everyone on the mat and the confidence to handle difficult situations calmly, including an anti-bullying focus. The youngest group, Little Warriors (ages 2-3), works on motor skills, balance and following simple instructions through lots of movement and fun, while older children move on to fuller technique and self-defence work. Many families start between 4 and 7, but this academy takes children from age 2.

Who it's for

Children and teens in age groups: Little Warriors (2-3), Junior (4-6), Senior (7-9), Pre Teen (10-12) and Teen (13+). Each branch page also lists family classes for all ages (parents train alongside their children), weapons classes and sparring classes; ask the branch when they run. Beginners are welcome, as are children working towards competition level.

What to expect

Every new student starts with an introductory session, so you and your child can see the dojo, meet the instructors and get a feel for the class before committing. For Little Warriors (ages 2-3) the academy always holds an assessment session that parents are invited to join, and those classes are capped at 13 children. The academy says each club has a waiting list and that it holds an informal introduction call with parents about goals and values before a child joins. Each branch publishes its own weekly class timetable. Prices and what to wear for the first class are not published, so ask the branch when you book.
