The activity

Martial Arts, explained

Kickboxing blends punches, kicks and footwork with the discipline of a martial art. Kids build coordination, fitness, focus and confidence while learning to control their body. Sessions usually start with a warm-up, move into pad and technique work, and finish with games or drills for younger groups; light, controlled sparring comes later as children progress. Many clubs take children from around 4, with belt gradings that give kids a clear sense of progress. It suits quieter children who need a confidence boost and energetic ones who need a structured outlet, and can stay purely about fitness or lead to competition later on.

Who it's for

Children from 4 years old, beginners and returning students alike. Little Kickers is for ages 4-7 and Juniors for 8-12. Competition & Teens sessions are for ages 12 and over by coach approval, and Adults & Teens classes are for 15 and up. Athletes of Determination is for children and teens aged 4-18 with autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences or other developmental considerations. Private one-to-one classes are available for all ages.

What to expect

Book through the trial form or WhatsApp; the team matches your child to a class and confirms by WhatsApp, usually within one working day. The first session is free, with no payment details, subject to space and a short health declaration. Bring comfortable sports clothing and water. For Little Kickers, a parent or guardian stays on the premises for the whole session. On joining, the UMAC starter kit (T-shirt and shorts, AED 200) is mandatory, and gloves (AED 250) and a helmet (AED 500) are needed from yellow belt. For Athletes of Determination, the first session is planned with the coaching team.
