Each location has its own Term 1 2026-27 timetable at stepup.ae/schedules-locations. At Springs Souk (updated 7 Sept 2026) classes run mostly on weekday afternoons and evenings from about 2:15PM, with Saturday classes from 9AM and aerial silk on Sunday 6:15-7:15PM. Is there a free trial class?

No. The academy says it does not currently offer free trials. Trial classes are paid and the price depends on the class; a child can do at most 2 trials before registering for the rest of the term.

How much does it cost?

New students pay a one-time AED 150 registration fee. Classes are booked by the term, not pay as you go; term fees are not listed, so ask your branch.

StepUp Academy is a ballet and performing arts school that started in Motor City in 2011. Motor City is still its home base, with six purpose-built dance studios, a private singing room, a uniform shop and the full-time admin team. In 2022 it opened studios on the 1st floor of Springs Souk, with two studios that open into one large studio, a reception and a uniform shop. It also has a studio in Arabian Ranches 3 and runs classes at other venues. Each location has its own Term 1 2026-27 timetable on the academy's website, from Tots Ballet for 2-year-olds through RAD ballet, street dance, lyrical, contemporary, commercial, technical jazz, cheerleading, acro, musical theatre and acting. Classes are booked by the term, not pay as you go, and boys are welcome. Students can sit RAD ballet exams and take part in an annual end-of-year show in a professional theatre. Not every class runs at every location, so check the timetable for the branch you pick or ask the team.

Dance classes build coordination, rhythm and confidence through structured movement, usually working from basic steps and body awareness up to choreography and performance. New students pay a one-time AED 150 registration fee; trial classes are paid (price depends on the class), with at most 2 before you register for the rest of the term. Parents don't watch in the studio, but there is an open class at the end of each term. There is a set uniform, and hair goes in a bun for ballet. For RAD ballet, children need to come twice a week to be eligible for exams.
