Pure Minds Academy runs Saturday classes in robotics, STEM, coding and AI for children aged 4 to 14, plus holiday camps in the school breaks. The academy says it has worked with families in the UAE since 2015. Saturday classes are split into three age groups, each with its own menu of programmes: Little Explorers (4-6) build first robots with LEGO Education SPIKE Essential, run weekly science experiments and take on themed engineering builds; Future Ready (7-9) move on to robots that sense and decide, 3D design and printing, and AI for Young Minds; Real World Ready (10-14) choose between Working with AI, a Young Entrepreneurs idea-to-pitch course and a FIRST LEGO League competition team. Term 1 2026 runs for ten Saturdays from 12 September to 14 November, in 90-minute slots between 10am and 3pm, at Rove Downtown and Studio One Hotel. Each programme is priced per child for the term, with discounts for siblings and for booking more than one programme. The academy's office is in Dubai Investments Park; classes are not held there.

The activity

Robotics, explained

Robotics classes teach children to build a machine and then tell it what to do. Younger children snap together kits with motors and sensors and program them with picture blocks, so the robot moves, lights up or reacts. Older children move on to more complex builds, sensors that let a robot make its own decisions, and typed code. Along the way they practise planning, testing, spotting what went wrong and trying again, plus teamwork and explaining their ideas. Many programmes mix robotics with coding, engineering challenges, 3D design and, more and more, hands-on work with AI tools. Some programmes start from about age four with simple, story-based builds.

Who it's for

Children aged 4 to 14 on Saturdays, in three groups: Little Explorers (ages 4-6), Future Ready (ages 7-9) and Real World Ready (ages 10-14). Groups are by age, and the academy says beginners and returning students both learn at the right level. The FIRST LEGO League team (10-14) is a season-long commitment with limited places. The site also lists an AI Bootcamp for ages 10-17 in the holidays. Special needs support: ask the provider.

What to expect

Each Saturday programme is a 90-minute session, once a week for a ten-week term, in small groups sorted by age. Your child picks a programme for their age group, for example Robotics for Little Explorers, where 4 to 6 year olds build robots with real motors and sensors using LEGO Education SPIKE Essential and bring them to life with picture-based coding. Young Entrepreneurs ends with a pitch in front of an audience on the final Saturday. Children can take more than one programme, with a discount. No trial is listed for this term and Term 1 began on 12 September 2026, so ask the provider about joining mid-term and what to bring.
