About Dubai Kids Kung Fu

Dubai Kids Kung Fu is run by Golden Eagle Martial Arts, which says it has taught kids in Dubai since 2010 and describes itself as the official Shaolin Temple representatives in the UAE. Kids' classes are held at four school venues: Dwight School Dubai in Sports City, American Academy Mizhar in Mirdif, Dubai British School Jumeirah in Al Wasl, and Dubai British School Mira in Mira Oasis. Boys and girls aged 4 to 16 train in three age groups - Little Dragons (4-6), Young Tigers (7-10) and Teen Warriors (11-16) - moving from playful animal movements and listening games to Shaolin stances, forms, self-defence and belt grading. The first class is free, no experience is needed and parents are welcome to stay and watch. Classes are by appointment with limited space, and the schedule and fees are shared on request by WhatsApp.

The activity

Martial Arts, explained

Kung fu is the Chinese martial art behind the films kids already know. In a kids class, children learn stances, kicks, forms (set sequences of moves) and partner drills, grading through coloured belts as they improve. The youngest start with games, animal movements and listening exercises; older children add self-defence, fitness conditioning and more advanced forms. Contact drills come in gradually, once children are ready. Parents tend to choose it for confidence, focus and self-control as much as fitness, and kids classes here start at age 4, with no experience needed. The path to black belt is long by design, so it suits children who enjoy steady progress and clear goals.

Who it's for

Boys and girls aged 4-16 in three groups: Little Dragons (4-6 years), Young Tigers (7-10 years) and Teen Warriors (11-16 years). No experience needed - children progress at their own pace.

What to expect

The first class is a free trial with no commitment. Your child needs comfortable sports clothes and a water bottle; uniforms come later, once they join. Parents are welcome to stay and watch. Little Dragons sessions are short and playful, built on games, animal movements and simple commands, while Young Tigers start real Shaolin technique with stances, kicks, forms and partner drills. Contact drills are introduced gradually and only when children are ready. To book, message on WhatsApp with your child's age and preferred venue, and the provider replies with class times and rates for that venue.
