What age can my child start?

The site gives different starting ages: the kids page lists a 1-5 group, the packages page says the Kids Programme is for ages 3 and up, and the FAQ mentions infant water introduction from around 6 months. Ask the provider which fits your child.

Are lessons private or group?

The core offer is private 1-to-1 coaching. The site also mentions group and semi-private options - ask the provider what is running near you.

Is a female coach available?

Yes. The female coach programme uses an all-female team and welcomes modest swimwear, including burkinis. It is offered as private lessons or at your home pool.

Can we try a lesson first?

Yes, a free trial session can be booked via WhatsApp on +971 55 880 2160.

How much do lessons cost?

Ask the provider. The packages page describes single sessions, monthly packages, kids programmes and home pool packages but does not publish prices.

Crystal Swim Academy is a Dubai swimming coaching service built around private 1-to-1 lessons for kids and adults. Rather than one fixed pool, its coaches teach at your villa, building or community pool, and the site lists areas it covers including Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Marina, Dubai Hills Estate, Downtown Dubai, Arabian Ranches, Jumeirah and Business Bay. The Business Bay address it publishes is an office in the Tamani Arts building, not a pool. Its kids programme starts with an assessment, then works on water confidence, breath control, floating and basic strokes, with progress notes for parents at the end of each session. There is a female coach programme too, with women-only staff and modest swimwear welcome, which suits girls who feel shyer with a male instructor. Crystal Swim Academy is a brand of Blue AquaFit LLC. It rates 5.0 on Google from 24 reviews. A free trial session is booked over WhatsApp, and prices are given on request.

The activity

Swimming, explained

Swimming lessons teach children water confidence first, then the skills that keep them safe and let them enjoy the pool. Beginners usually start with getting their face wet, breath control, floating and kicking, then move on to front crawl and backstroke, and later breaststroke and longer distances. Alongside the strokes, children build coordination, fitness and a respect for water safety. Many families start in the preschool years, often with a parent in the water for the very youngest, and private one-to-one lessons suit nervous swimmers because the coach can go at the child's pace. Most coaches assess a new swimmer in the first session before choosing a starting level.

Who it's for

Children and adults, from complete beginners to swimmers refining technique. The kids page groups children by ability, with bands of 1-5, 6-9, 10-14 and 15-17; the packages page describes the Kids Programme as for ages 3 and up, and the FAQ mentions infant water introduction from around 6 months - confirm the right starting age for your child with the provider. Girls and women who prefer a female instructor can book the female coach programme.

What to expect

Most families start with a free trial session, booked over WhatsApp. Every new swimmer is assessed first so the coach can pick the right starting point. For home pool lessons you share your location, pool size and depth and your child's age and level, get matched with an instructor, then choose a one-off session or a weekly slot. The instructor brings the equipment; have a swimsuit, towel and goggles ready, and a parent or guardian must be present for children. Sessions mix a warm-up, skill drills and a fun finishing activity, followed by a quick progress note. Lesson length and prices: ask the provider.
