SwimSafe runs private swimming lessons for children in Dubai, and the coach comes to you: lessons take place door-to-door in your own private pool or your community pool, so there is no drive to a swim school. Children can start from 2 years old, and the programmes run from Baby Swim and Learn-to-Swim through to Swim Squads. Progress follows a clear ladder of levels: AQUA1 builds water confidence, safety awareness and basic movement; AQUA2 works on body position, breath control and floating; AQUA3 introduces basic strokes; AQUA4 refines technique and deep-water skills; AQUA5 covers all four main strokes. After that comes Silver Level, then Gold Level or the Swim Squad for children heading towards competitions. The instructors are described as certified, and the first trial session is free. On Google, SwimSafe is rated 5.0 from 3 reviews.

The activity

Swimming, explained

Swimming lessons take a child from getting comfortable in the water, putting their face in and breathing out, through to full stroke technique. Early sessions focus on water confidence and safety, then floating, kicking and body position, before the four main strokes and longer swims are built up level by level. Regular lessons build fitness, coordination, breath control and water safety, a life skill that stays with a child for good. Private lessons give one coach's full attention to the swimmer, so the pace can follow the child rather than the class. Starting ages vary by school; SwimSafe takes children from 2 years old.

Who it's for

Children from 2 years old, from complete beginners building water confidence (AQUA1) to confident swimmers refining all four strokes (AQUA5, Silver Level) and children preparing for Gold Level, the Swim Squad or competitions.

What to expect

The instructor travels to you, and the lesson happens in your own private pool or your community pool. The first session can be a free trial, requested through the booking form on the website, which asks for a name, age, email, phone number and your address. Complete beginners start at AQUA1, which focuses on water confidence, safety awareness and basic movement skills with support, in a fun and secure setting. Lesson length, prices, packages, what to bring and whether a parent needs to be in the water are not published on the website, so ask the provider when you book.
