Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling art: instead of punching or kicking, children learn to grip, roll, escape and hold, working in pairs on soft mats. Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) for juniors focuses on movement and striking drills in a controlled, age-appropriate format. Both build coordination, balance, body awareness and confidence, and listening to the coach and partnering safely teaches discipline and respect. Wellfit's junior programme starts at age five, and children progress in age groups so they train with children of a similar size and stage.
