The activity

Gymnastics, explained

Gymnastics teaches children balance, flexibility, strength and body control. Younger children usually start with movement games and basic shapes such as forward rolls, cartwheels and handstands, learning to land and fall safely while building core strength. As they progress, they move on to apparatus like the beam, vault, bars and trampoline, and link skills into short routines. It is a good foundation for many other sports, helping with coordination and confidence. Pre-school gymnastics often starts from around age 3, with recreational and competitive pathways for older children.

Who it's for

Children. Parents' 2025 reviews mention a 2.5-year-old and a 7-year-old training there, describe the trainers as good with all ages, and mention both daughters and sons. Age bands and levels are not published, so ask the provider which group suits your child.

What to expect

The academy's photos and videos show a large indoor sports hall at the school with red floor mats, a balance beam, a vault box, a mini trampoline and soft blocks, with coaches in matching yellow T-shirts. One parent's 2025 review says the staff handle bookings and talk with parents by WhatsApp and phone, and that small children get a little treat at the end of a session. Kit, class length, whether a trial class is offered and what a first session looks like are not published, so ask the provider before your child's first visit.
