The Elite Health Club: gymnastics, parkour and junior classes in Dubai Silicon Oasis
About The Elite Health Club
The Elite Health Club is a family sports club in Dubai Silicon Oasis with a dedicated gymnastics and parkour zone, a temperature-controlled pool and a combat studio under one roof. For children it runs two kinds of group class: "entertainment" classes (trampoline, bungee, aqua and fitness) aimed at confidence and coordination, and "academic" classes with structured progression in parkour, swimming, gymnastics, taekwondo and MMA / boxing. Children are assessed before being placed in a level, and junior boxing and parkour run in Levels 1 to 3. Gymnastics is coached by Aatiqah Abrahams, a former international gymnast from South Africa who lists FIG and USAG certification and coaches artistic and competitive gymnastics. One-to-one junior coaching is also offered. The club says it is registered with the Dubai Sports Council and is a member of the West Asia Freerunning & Parkour Union. The club also has a mixed gym, a ladies-only gym and a pool for members, and the Elite Cafe serves coffee, drinks and healthy snacks. Prices, ages and the timetable are not on the website, so ask the club.
The activity
Gymnastics, explained
Gymnastics teaches children to control their own bodies: rolls, cartwheels, handstands, balances and jumps on mats, beams, bars and trampolines. Beginners start with shapes, landings and basic strength, then build skills step by step, and some move on to competitive routines. Along the way it develops flexibility, core strength, coordination and body awareness, plus the confidence to try something new and the patience to practise it. Many clubs take children from preschool age in play-based classes, with more structured groups from around five or six; ask each club which group suits your child. Parkour, which the Elite also teaches, applies similar skills to vaulting, climbing and jumping over obstacles.
Who it's for
Children and teens: the club runs junior group classes, a Junior Premium Membership and one-to-one junior coaching. Junior boxing and parkour are split into Levels 1, 2 and 3, and each child is assessed to place them in the right level. Exact age bands are not published; ask the provider.
What to expect
The club says every child has a professional assessment so they start in the right level, and class schedules are updated monthly. Classes are booked through The Elite Health Club app (App Store and Google Play), which also tracks progress. Gymnastics and parkour take place in the club's Gymnastics & Parkour zone; swimming is in the club's temperature-controlled pool. The website offers a free trial visit for adult gym members, but it does not mention a trial class for children, class length or what to wear, so ask the provider when you book a visit.
