About Total Ninja - Silicon Central
Total Ninja at Silicon Central Mall is an obstacle and inflatable adventure park inspired by the TV ninja shows, spread over three floors of the mall in Dubai Silicon Oasis. Children aged 4 and up (and adults) get the run of an inflatable park, four warrior obstacle courses that get harder as you go, warped walls, a Wipeout challenge, the scored Strike Arena and the Battle Ball pitch, with Dodge Attack, a trampoline dodgeball game, from age 7. Under-4s have their own Mini Ninja soft-play area with slides, climbing frames and stepping stones. For children who want more than a play session, the Total Ninja Academy runs one coached 60-minute class a week through the school term, with four belt levels from white to black and group classes split by age. There are also half-day holiday camps and birthday parties. A café overlooks the courses, so non-playing parents can watch for free.
The activity
Ninja & Adventure, explained
Ninja training borrows from TV obstacle shows. Children climb, swing between holds, balance along beams, jump and sprint up a curved 'warped wall', working their way through obstacles that get harder as they improve. It builds grip and upper-body strength, balance, coordination, agility and quick decisions, and it rewards having another go after a fall. Because each obstacle can be taken at the child's own pace, it suits children of different sporting levels. Parks usually start the youngest children in a separate soft-play area. Many parks also run coached classes with belt-style levels, so children can move from free play to structured training.
Who it's for
Open play: the Mini Ninja soft-play area is for children 0-3 years (the provider also describes it as 'under 4'), and the all-access Total Ninja ticket is for ages 4+ and adults. The site's wording varies between 4+ and 5+ for the main park, so parents of 4-year-olds should check when booking. Most attractions are 4+; Dodge Attack is 7+. The Academy runs group classes by age (4-6, 7-10, 11-15 and 16+) plus one-to-one private training; weekend 9AM-11AM slots are listed under private training. Children 12 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 16 (check current rules when booking). The park is wheelchair accessible. Flashing lights and music are used, which may affect children with epilepsy or sensory sensitivity. Ask the provider about holiday camp ages.
What to expect
Book online ahead, especially for weekends and holidays, and complete the waiver emailed after booking. Arrive 20 minutes early to check in, collect wristbands and watch the safety briefing video; late arrivals may get a shorter session. Everyone on the equipment must wear Total Ninja hygiene and safety socks, bought online or at reception and yours to keep. Wear stretchy sportswear, ideally long sleeves, and leave jewellery in the free lockers. A Mini Ninja ticket includes one parent or guardian. Only food and drink from the on-site café is allowed. Bookings are non-refundable. There is no free trial listed for the Academy; ask the provider.
