Music Lessons, explained

Music lessons teach a child to play an instrument or sing, usually one-to-one or in small groups. Children work on technique, rhythm and reading music, and build up a set of pieces they can play or perform. Lessons are usually weekly, and progress shows up in graded exams or informal recitals rather than a fixed finish line. Many music schools also run online lessons, which can suit busy family weeks. Starting ages vary by instrument and school, so it is worth asking what a beginner of your child's age would start on. Music suits children who enjoy focused attention and steady, visible progress.
