Open Swim Sim, at-home swimming lessons in Dubai
About Open swim sim
Open Swim Sim is a Dubai swimming coach who teaches private lessons in your own home pool. The Instagram bio describes at-home swimming lessons for ladies, teens and kids, and an April 2026 post on the Google listing describes private lessons for kids, ladies and adults, with step-by-step coaching, water confidence and safety, beginner to advanced levels and a personalised training plan. That post names Dubai Marina, JLT and JBR as areas covered, so ask whether the coach travels to your area. In May 2026 the Instagram account also offered parent-and-kid sessions, where a mum or dad learns alongside their child. The Google listing shows a discount for kids and a family discount, and the business identifies as women-owned. It is rated 5.0 on Google from 9 reviews. Prices, lesson lengths and age limits are not published, so call 050 660 6183 or send a message on Instagram to ask.
The activity
Swimming, explained
Swimming lessons usually start with water confidence and safety: floating, breathing and putting the face in the water, before moving on to strokes such as front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke. Instructors tend to set the pace by the child's confidence rather than their age, so a nervous swimmer can take it slowly while a confident one works on technique and distance. One-to-one lessons suit children who need extra attention, while small groups add a bit of social fun. Starting ages vary from instructor to instructor, so it is worth asking before you book.
Who it's for
Kids, teens and ladies, according to the Instagram bio. The April 2026 Google post says lessons are for kids, ladies and adults, from beginner to advanced level, and the May 2026 parent-and-kid sessions were described as beginner friendly. A minimum age and group sizes are not published, so ask the provider.
What to expect
Lessons are private and take place in your home pool, with the coach travelling to you. The April 2026 Google post says lessons build water confidence and safety step by step, with a personalised training plan, and that the first lesson was free at the time; ask whether that offer still runs. The May 2026 parent-and-kid sessions were described as beginner friendly, with a focus on confidence, fitness and fun, and private coaching available. Lesson length, what to bring and how many lessons a course runs to are not published, so ask when you book. Call 050 660 6183, email or send a direct message on Instagram to arrange a time.
