New Covent Garden is a theatre and performing arts hub on Level 2 of Mall of the Emirates. Its 600-seat theatre stages musical theatre, comedy, ballet, opera, Arabic shows and children's entertainment, and the same floor holds ten dance studios, including a Yoga and Pilates studio and a Black Box. The studios run as Pineapple Dubai, which the theatre describes as the first and only home of Pineapple Dance Studios outside the UK, teaching more than 40 dance styles to all ages and abilities. For children, the booking timetable lists two weekly drop-in classes, Junior Hiphop with Grace on Thursday afternoons and Junior Lyrical with Grace on Saturday mornings, each 60 minutes and listed until the end of October 2026, plus a three-day Cals Creative Intensive for under-12s in October. Dance, explained

Drop-in dance classes are single sessions you book one at a time, with no term to sign up for. A junior class usually opens with a warm-up and stretches, then works on steps and technique before putting them together into a short routine to music. Hip hop is grounded and rhythmic, built on grooves, isolations and freestyle; lyrical sits between ballet and contemporary and asks dancers to tell the story of a song through flowing movement. Both build coordination, stamina, musicality and the confidence to perform in front of others. Many children start in the early primary years, but each class sets its own age range, so ask before you book.
