The activity

Dance, explained

Dance classes teach kids rhythm, coordination and choreography across styles like hip-hop, jazz funk, ballet and street dance, usually in weekly group sessions that build towards a piece performed at an end-of-term show. Beginners work on basic steps and musicality, while more experienced dancers take on combinations and can move into performance or competition teams. It builds fitness, confidence and creativity, and most studios in Dubai group children by age, starting from around 4-5 years old and running on a school-term calendar.

Who it's for

Children aged 5 and up for hip-hop, modern, kids choreo, street dance and ballet (ballet is girls only); jazz funk starts from age 7. Both boys and girls, except ballet.
