The activity

Art Classes, explained

Art classes give children a structured space to explore drawing, painting and sculpture, usually moving from basic technique (line, colour, shading) towards more expressive projects like portraits or 3D pieces as skills grow. Sessions build fine motor skills, patience and creative confidence, and many after-school programmes work towards a finished piece or small portfolio over a set number of weeks. Classes suit children from around age 7 who can follow structured, sequential instruction, though some art schools run sessions for younger children too.

Who it's for

Children aged 7 to 12 on the Kids Arts & Crafts Programme. The institute also teaches teens and adults, with private, semi-private and group classes.

What to expect

Each Kids Arts & Crafts course is 24 hours of classroom training, run as an after-school activity with flexible scheduling and delivered in Part I and Part II. Your child picks a course, such as still life painting, portrait drawing, 3D and modelling, graphic design or digital painting with Procreate, and works through it in class at the institute in Dubai Knowledge Park.
