How much do classes cost?

Group classes are sold in packages: 4 sessions AED 800, 8 for AED 1,400, 12 for AED 1,900 and 24 for AED 3,120 (AED 130 a session). Private sessions are AED 1,100 for 4, AED 1,900 for 8 and AED 2,400 for 12. Packages are valid for 60 days.

Is there a trial class?

Yes. A group trial is AED 125 and a private trial is AED 150. Buy a package within 3 days of the trial and you get 10% off.

When are the kids' art classes?

On the autumn 2026 timetable: age-grouped art on Monday and Wednesday from 3PM and Saturday from 10AM; crafts Tuesday and Thursday from 3PM; clay play Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 10AM; pottery Tuesday and Saturday at 5PM; mosaic art Friday at 5PM and 6PM; pro art studio Tuesday and Thursday at 6PM. Do they run holiday camps?

Yes, for ages 3-12 in school breaks, starting with the October break. Per week: half day (9AM-1PM) AED 1,100, extended day (9AM-3PM) AED 1,450, full day (9AM-6PM) AED 1,750. Per day: AED 230, 300 or 360. Siblings get 5% off weekly bookings.

Can I book a birthday party there?

TAKA TAKA is a kids' club at Golden Mile Galleria on Palm Jumeirah, open since 2023, where children can try many creative classes under one roof. Art is at the heart of it: age-grouped art for 4 to 12, clay play for 2.5 to 4 year olds, crafts, pottery, mosaic art and a pro art studio for 12+. Alongside the art room there are music, choir, contemporary dance, early development for 18 months to 3 years, and tech and media courses for teens. Groups are small (6-8 children) and the club says children keep the same teacher for the whole term. Teachers work in English and Russian. The weekly timetable and a full price list are on the club's website, every programme starts with a paid trial, and the club also runs holiday camps for 3 to 12 year olds and birthday parties. Art Classes, explained

Children's art classes give kids time to make things with their hands: drawing and painting, shaping clay, cutting and gluing mosaics, and building crafts from paper and found materials. Younger children mostly explore texture and colour, rolling dough, pressing shapes and getting happily messy. Older children learn techniques step by step and work on a piece over several weeks. Along the way they build fine motor control, patience, focus and the confidence to try an idea and change it. Many studios start with sensory clay play from about two and a half, move to age-grouped art from four, and offer more serious studio work for teenagers.

Who it's for

Children from 18 months to 18 years, per the club (ages 1.5 to 18). Art classes by age: clay play 2.5-4, art in groups for 4-6, 7-9 and 10-12, crafts 4-6 and 7-9, pottery 6-9, mosaic art 6-9 and 10+, pro art studio 12+. Holiday camps take ages 3-12, grouped 3-5, 6-8 and 9-12. Classes are taught in English and Russian. Some sessions on the timetable (Art for moms, Yoga for moms, Mix dance) are for adults only. What to expect

Every programme starts with a trial: AED 125 for a full group class in your child's age group, or AED 150 for a one-to-one session with the teacher. If you buy a package within 3 days of the trial, it is 10% off. Groups are 6-8 children with one teacher, and the club says the same teacher stays with the group for the term. Younger art groups (4-6) run for 30 minutes, older groups for 60 minutes. Sessions can be rescheduled with 24 hours' notice. What to wear for regular classes: ask the provider. For camps, the club asks for comfortable clothes that can get messy and a water bottle, and provides all materials.
