Kiteloop is a kitesurfing school on the beach off Al Nessnass Street in Jumeirah 3, set up by head instructor Ado Zlebcik, an IKO Level 3 certified instructor with more than 10 years of kitesurfing behind him. As well as lessons it offers equipment rental, repairs, a kit shop and gift vouchers. Children are welcome from 10 years old, as long as they weigh more than 35kg, and a parent or guardian has to be there during the lesson. Courses run in steps: Beginner (theory, trainer kite and kite flying), Intermediate (body drag and kite relaunch in the water), 'Good 2 Go', which combines both and leads towards IKO Level 2-3, and Kite Foiling. Kitesurfing uses a large controllable kite to pull a rider across the water on a board. Beginners start on the beach, learning kite theory and flying a small trainer kite, then move into the water for body-dragging and relaunching the kite before trying to stand up on the board. It builds core strength, balance, coordination and water confidence, and technique matters more than raw strength. Lessons depend on the wind, so sessions are moved when conditions are too light, and schools usually teach one-to-one or in small groups.
