Juventus Academy Dubai & Sharjah has run youth football since 2015 under the Juventus Method, and its JLT squads train at JLT Park Football Field in Jumeirah Lakes Towers, handy for families in Dubai Marina, The Greens, The Springs, Jumeirah Park and JVC. At JLT, sessions run on Thursday and Sunday evenings for Under 6 to Under 16 age groups, and on Monday and Wednesday evenings for Under 9 to Under 14. The academy says its coaches are trained and certified by Juventus, and that players get mid-term and final evaluations. Beyond the weekly squads it offers a Goalkeeper Program, Saturday morning private sessions, and competitive Elite and Selected teams; ask which of these run at JLT. New players start with a free tryout: message the JLT admin to book a slot. Fees for the 2026-27 season are set per term or per season, and a mandatory kit costs AED 500.

The activity

Football, explained

Football training for children is built on ball work: dribbling, passing, receiving and shooting, practised in drills and then used in small-sided games where every child gets plenty of touches. Squads are usually grouped by age band (Under 6, Under 8 and so on), so children train with players of a similar size and stage. Alongside technique, sessions build fitness, coordination, decision-making and teamwork, and older or stronger players can move into competitive teams that play league and tournament matches. Many Dubai academies take children from around four or five, and a free tryout session is a common first step.

Who it's for

Boys and girls in the academy's age bands; the academy as a whole takes players aged 4 to 17. At JLT the groups are Under 6, 8 and 10 and Under 12, 14 and 16 (Thursdays and Sundays), and Under 9, 10 and 11 and Under 12, 13 and 14 (Mondays and Wednesdays). Girls teams are listed at other venues, not JLT, so ask the provider about girls-only squads here.

What to expect

Your child's first step is a free tryout, booked by calling or messaging the JLT admin. Sessions last 1 hour 15 minutes in the early evening: younger groups from 5.30pm to 6.45pm, older groups from 6.45pm to 8pm. The official Juventus Academy kit is mandatory (two jerseys, shorts, socks and a sports bag, AED 500), and players born in 2021 and 2022 get the kit free. The academy notes that, depending on performance and slot allocation, players may be moved to different days, times or venues. Ask the provider what to bring to the tryout.
