iSwim sends swimming coaches to you. Its instructors teach at your own private or community pool across JBR, Dubai Marina, Bluewaters and The Palm, so there is no drive to a swim school. Children can start one-to-one from 2 years old, in 45-minute sessions that mix water safety, water games and the basics of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, working up to swimming 15 to 25 metres of full stroke. Children of 5 and over who can already swim can join a group of up to 4. The coaches are FINA-certified, and the site says they are certified by the UAE Swimming Federation too; between them they speak English, Arabic, Russian and Persian. Learn-to-swim lessons teach children to feel safe and at home in the water, then build real strokes. Early sessions use water games, floating, kicking and breath control, with water-safety skills woven in. From there children learn the basics of freestyle, backstroke and breaststroke, and work towards swimming full strokes over longer distances. Swimming builds confidence, coordination, fitness and, above all, safety in a city full of pools and beaches. At iSwim, children can start one-to-one from age 2, where the coach goes at the child's own pace, and join a small group from age 5 once they can already swim a little.
