About International Studio of Art and Galleries Dubai
International Studio of Art & Galleries (ISOAG) is an art studio and working gallery in Al Safa 1, Jumeirah, near Safa Park. Children aged 4 to 18 learn drawing, painting, clay and mixed media in groups sorted by age: Early Years (4-6), Children (6-12) and Teens (13-18). The studio was founded by artist Ruxeena Musthafa, a UAE Cultural Golden Visa holder and host of Art2Heart TV, and art psychotherapist Najah Musthafa, whose approach shapes how classes are taught, with focus, confidence and emotional expression treated as part of the lesson. Fees are published in full: AED 180 for a single kids' class or AED 1,500 for ten, with materials provided and sibling discounts on request. If you'd rather not commit, walk-in sessions for kids and adults cost AED 150 an hour with no booking needed. Teens can build a portfolio for school art, IGCSE or A-level coursework and applications. The studio also runs birthday art parties and holiday art camps, and a parent can paint in an adult class while a child is in theirs.
The activity
Art Classes, explained
Children's art classes teach the building blocks of making pictures and objects: drawing and sketching, mixing and using paint, shaping clay and combining materials in mixed-media pieces. Younger children spend most of the time exploring colour, texture and simple shapes, which builds hand control and the confidence to finish something of their own. Older children move on to observational drawing, shading, brush control and composition, and teenagers can work towards a portfolio for school coursework or applications. Many Dubai studios, this one included, take children from age 4, grouping them by age so projects match attention span and skill. Materials are usually supplied, so a child just needs clothes that can get messy.
Who it's for
Children aged 4 to 18, grouped as Early Years (4-6), Children (6-12) and Teens (13-18). No experience needed: beginners and more experienced young artists both join, and facilitators place each child at the right stage. Teens working on school art, IGCSE / A-level coursework or university and foundation applications can get portfolio guidance. Walk-in sessions are open to kids and adults, so parents can create too.
What to expect
The easiest start is a single class (AED 180) or a walk-in session: message the studio on WhatsApp with your child's age and preferred day, and they match your child to a group. Early-years sessions last one hour, with a clear start, a guided activity and a finished piece to take home; teen sessions last 1 hour 15 minutes. For ages 6-12 the session length is not published, so ask the provider. Paints, paper, brushes, clay and craft materials are all provided, so bring nothing but clothes that can get paint on them. There is no free trial listed; the single class is the trial.
