Music Lessons, explained

Music lessons teach a child to play an instrument or sing with guidance from a teacher, step by step. Early lessons usually cover holding the instrument or warming up the voice, simple rhythms and a first tune, then build towards reading music, playing with others and performing. Along the way children practise focus, listening and patience, and playing in a group adds teamwork and confidence. Many children start around five to seven, though the right age depends on the instrument and the child. A good first step is a trial lesson, so your child can try an instrument before you commit to a term.

Who it's for

Lessons are for 'all ages and skill levels', from first-timers to players refining their technique. No minimum age or instrument list is given for lessons - ask the provider what suits your child. The studio's 2025 Rock the Summer camp was for ages 8-16.
