About Improve ME Institute

Improve ME Institute is a tutoring centre in Building 3 of Gold & Diamond Park, off Sheikh Zayed Road, teaching children and teenagers aged 3 to 18 in small groups of at most six. Primary students (EYFS, Key Stage 1 and 2) study maths, English and science; secondary students work towards Key Stage 3, MYP, GCSE, IGCSE, A-Level and the IB Diploma in maths, English, biology, chemistry, physics, business studies, economics and psychology. Teaching follows your child's own school curriculum and exam board, with worksheets and past papers each week and regular progress reports to parents. Alongside the academics there is CAT4 and 7+/11+ entrance preparation, chess, financial literacy, AI literacy, and Summer and Winter School programmes. Every enrolment starts with a free diagnostic assessment with no obligation to join. Fees are published: from AED 180 a session for KG1-KG2 and from AED 200 from Year 1, plus VAT. All sessions are in person at the centre, and it rates 4.7 on Google from 211 reviews.

The activity

Maths Tutor, explained

Small-group tutoring puts a few children working at the same stage with a subject specialist, so there is more attention than in a school class but still other children to learn alongside. Families use it to close gaps in a topic, keep up with the school syllabus, get ready for exams or prepare for entrance tests. A good centre starts by finding out where a child's understanding is secure and where it slips, then teaches to that level using the child's own curriculum and exam board. Younger children usually focus on reading, writing and number; older students work subject by subject, with past papers and exam technique becoming central as exams approach.

Who it's for

Children and teenagers aged 3 to 18 (FS1 to Year 13). Primary covers EYFS (ages 3-5), Key Stage 1 (5-7) and Key Stage 2 (7-11); secondary covers KS3, MYP, GCSE/IGCSE (14-16) and A-Level/IB (16-18). Economics, business studies and psychology start from Year 10. Enrichment ages: chess and AI literacy 6+, financial literacy 8-16, CAT4 prep 7-15, 11+ prep 9-11. Ask the provider about additional learning needs.

What to expect

First comes a free diagnostic assessment at the centre: about 8 to 10 minutes per subject, a short test and chat with a subject tutor, then a recommendation on the right group and session times. There is no obligation to enrol. If you want to try a lesson first, a trial class costs AED 350 per subject, credited in full if you then enrol. Sessions are 45 minutes for EYFS and 60 minutes from Year 2, in groups of up to six. Joining carries a one-time AED 300 enrolment fee, and cancellations need 24 hours' notice to earn a make-up session.
