About Elite Volleyball Academy
Elite Volleyball Academy runs volleyball training for kids and teens in school sports halls across Dubai, from Jumeirah Park and Mirdif to Sustainable City and Nad Al Sheba, plus Abu Dhabi and Sharjah, and on outdoor sand courts at Damac Hills. Training is term-based and split by age: Under 10, Under 13, Under 15 and Under 17, with some venues adding Under 19, adult groups or a Mini Volley group. The academy says no experience is needed: the youngest group is built for first-time players and starts with passing, serving and basic game awareness before any competitive play. The 5-9 group learns the basics through fun, low-pressure drills, the 10-13 group builds on those fundamentals and the 14-17 group trains at a faster, more competitive pace. Training days, starting ages and groups differ by venue, so pick a branch on this page. A free trial can be booked through the venue page.
The activity
Volleyball, explained
Volleyball builds coordination, quick reactions and teamwork through serving, passing, setting and hitting. Beginners usually start with simple drills - bumping the ball back and forth, underarm serves - before small-sided games and then full six-a-side matches on an indoor court. Because players never tackle each other, it is a low-contact team sport, and every player rotates through positions, so nobody is stuck on the sidelines. Kids often start around five or six, with the youngest groups playing fun, low-pressure games; older players move on to faster, more competitive training and club matches. It suits kids who enjoy team sport and like learning a clear skill step by step.
Who it's for
Kids and teens up to 17. The youngest starting age depends on the venue: age 5 at Sustainable City, Jumeirah Park, Meadows, Nad Al Sheba and Mirdif, age 8 for beach volleyball at Damac Hills, age 10 at Emirates Hills, Jumeirah College, Raffles and Royal Grammar School, and a teen-only group (14-17) at Dubai British School Jumeirah. Some venues also run Under 19 or adult groups; Sustainable City and Nad Al Sheba are for kids and teens only. No volleyball experience needed.
What to expect
Book a free trial by filling in the form on your venue's page with your child's name, age and WhatsApp number; the team confirms the spot on WhatsApp. Indoor sessions are in the school's sports hall: bring indoor (non-marking) court shoes, a water bottle and comfortable sportswear, and the academy says everything else is provided. Beach sessions at Damac Hills are on outdoor sand, so bring sun cream, a water bottle and trainers or bare feet. The youngest group starts with passing, serving and basic game awareness through fun, low-pressure drills before any competitive play. Sessions on the published timetables are typically an hour, with some longer slots. Fees are not published: ask the provider.
