About Chloe Blue Scuba Diving
Chloe Blue Scuba Diving is a female-led Dubai dive club that teaches children to snorkel and scuba dive, and its 2026 kids' programmes run at Dive Tribe in Al Quoz, which the club calls its PADI base. Term-time, there is a Friday after-school Ocean Club for ages 6 to 12: Ocean Explorer snorkelling for ages 6 to 9 and PADI Seal Team pool scuba for ages 8 to 12, ten Fridays from 18 September to 27 November 2026. In the holidays it runs a five-day Ocean Explorers camp (13 to 17 October and 15 to 19 December 2026) for ages 6 to 16, with groups of up to six and four tracks from snorkelling to PADI Junior Open Water. Each camp week finishes with a Saturday dhow day in Fujairah. The club also runs two-hour pool birthday parties at Dive Tribe for ages 6 to 12. Prices are on its site, and all equipment is included.
The activity
Scuba Diving, explained
Kids' scuba and snorkelling usually start in a pool, with instructors close by. Snorkelling is the first step: getting used to a mask, breathing through a snorkel and floating. A scuba taster such as PADI Seal Team comes next, where children practise breathing underwater and simple skills in shallow water, with equipment fitted for them. A full certification such as PADI Junior Open Water follows, and it includes sea dives. PADI sets its own minimum age for each programme, and the club publishes the ages it accepts for each one. Children should be comfortable in the water before starting.
Who it's for
Children aged 6 to 16, depending on the programme. The Friday Ocean Club takes ages 6 to 9 (snorkelling) and 8 to 12 (PADI Seal Team). The holiday camp takes ages 6 to 9 (snorkelling), 8 to 10 (PADI Seal Team), 10+ (PADI Junior Open Water) and 10+ certified divers (Marine Conservation). Children need to be comfortable in the water: the camp starts with a swim assessment on day 1, and Seal Team children should be comfortable swimmers. The club says it can arrange girls-only or ladies-accompanied Friday sessions on request. (chloebluescubadiving.com)
What to expect
Pool sessions take place at Dive Tribe in Al Quoz, in a small group, with all masks, fins, snorkels and scuba kit provided. Children bring swimwear, a towel and a water bottle (a change of clothes for camp). In the Friday club, weeks 1 to 6 are in the pool and weeks 7 to 10 move to the coast for supervised open-water snorkelling, with a parent on site; the club says there is no scuba in open water for this age group. Scuba activities need parental consent and a medical questionnaire, and a doctor's note may be needed. The Friday club offers a taster for new families; ask the club about its price and dates. Photos are sent on WhatsApp after each Friday session, the club says. (chloebluescubadiving.com)
