How much are kids' classes?

For all three kids' BJJ groups the website lists AED 840 a month for two 45-minute classes a week, AED 1,200 a month for three a week and AED 1,900 a month for unlimited classes. Longer packages for two classes a week are AED 2,340 for 3 months, AED 4,320 for 6 months and AED 7,920 for a year. A single class is AED 150. Kids' boxing / kickboxing is AED 450 a month for one class a week or AED 840 a month for two.

Is there a free trial class?

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling martial art that is mostly done on the ground. Instead of punching or kicking, children learn to hold positions, escape from underneath a partner and control them using balance, leverage and technique rather than size. Classes usually mix a warm-up, a technique and games or light sparring on soft mats, and most kids train in a gi, a heavy cotton uniform with a coloured belt. It builds body awareness, coordination, patience and confidence, and many parents like that it teaches self-defence without striking. Children often start from around four, and belt promotions give them clear goals to work towards.

Who it's for

Boys and girls from age 4. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu runs in three groups: Little Grapplers (ages 4-6), Junior Warriors (ages 7-10) and Youth Champions (ages 11+, pre-teens and teenagers).
