The activity

Basketball, explained

Youth basketball builds coordination, teamwork and fitness through ball-handling, shooting and small-sided games, usually starting with fundamentals before moving into structured team play. At Basketball Hub Dubai, the youngest Basketball School group is 3-4 years, and classes put the emphasis on individual skills development, with small class sizes and placement by skill level. Players who want to compete can move on to the Dubai Tribe club teams after an assessment, and there are private sessions and school-holiday camps too. Courts have height-adjustable backboards so younger players can shoot at a suitable height.

Who it's for

Boys and girls. The Dubai Tribe Basketball School groups players as 3-4, 5-7, 8-10, 11-13 and 14-17 years and is open to all skill levels and basketball backgrounds.
