About Aqua Race Swim Academy
Aqua Race Swim Academy is a Dubai swim school teaching babies, children and adults at three venues: Hamdan Sports Complex on Emirates Road (opposite Global Village), Clarion School in Al Quoz and Global Indian International School. Children's programmes run from Parents & Babies classes (6 months to 2 years) and Toddlers (2 to under 5) to a Learn to Swim programme for kids aged 5 to 16, with one-to-one classes and a programme for people of determination too. Most programmes are 8 classes a month, with published fees from AED 750 a month for Toddlers and Learn to Swim. The coaching team is led by founder and head coach Ramy Bekhit, with instructors Kerolos Adel, Ahmed Kamal and Kumara Perera. A free trial or assessment can be requested online. Which programmes run at which venue is not published, so ask before you book.
The activity
Swimming, explained
Swimming lessons teach water confidence, breathing, floating and stroke technique step by step. The youngest swimmers start with water familiarisation alongside a parent, then move on to kicking, gliding and safety skills before learning front crawl, backstroke and breaststroke. Regular lessons build fitness, coordination and confidence, and give children an important safety skill in a city full of pools and beaches. Aqua Race's own programmes start with Parents & Babies classes from 6 months, then Toddlers (2 to under 5) and a Learn to Swim programme for kids aged 5 to 16.
Who it's for
Babies 6 months to 2 years with a parent, toddlers 2 to under 5, children 5 to 16, plus one-to-one classes for all ages and a programme for people of determination. Adults (11+), ladies-only classes (16+) and aqua aerobics also run. Ask which programmes run at the venue you pick.
What to expect
Start with the free trial or free assessment: request it through the form on the academy's website, or call or WhatsApp +971 55 664 9627. Children then join a monthly programme, usually 8 classes a month. Toddler classes cover early water skills for ages 2 to 5, and the Learn to Swim programme for 5 to 16-year-olds focuses on the confidence and skills to be safe and independent in the water. Session length, group sizes, kit and which days run at each venue are not published - ask the provider. Pick a branch on this page to see its address and rating.
