About High speed sport academy

High Speed Sports Academy is a swimming academy that teaches inside Global Indian International School (GIIS Dubai) in Al Quoz 1, on Al Meydan Road near Al Manar Islamic Centre. Its website sets out three programmes for children: a Baby Class run in a parent-and-child format, Kids Classes that put water confidence, water safety and an introduction to basic strokes first, and Pro Squads, a development programme for swimmers who compete and want faster times. The academy is owned by coach Eslam Arby, who writes on its website that he has coached swimming since 2012 and has worked at Al Jazira Club in Abu Dhabi and the Egyptian Club in Dubai. Its Facebook page posted in October 2026 about an academy swimmer racing at the APEX Competition. It is rated 5.0 on Google from 25 reviews. To register, call or WhatsApp +971 58 947 5490, or use the form on its website, and ask which group suits your child's age and level.

The activity

Swimming, explained

Swimming lessons teach children to feel safe in water first, then to float, kick, breathe and move through the water on their own. Early sessions lean on games, floats and noodles, with a coach close by in the pool. As confidence grows, children learn strokes such as front crawl and backstroke, how to tread water and how to get back to the side. Beyond the strokes, swimming builds stamina, coordination and water safety habits that matter in a city of pools and beaches. Many swim schools take children from around three or four years old, often in small groups sorted by ability.

Who it's for

Babies and toddlers with a parent (Baby Class), children learning to swim (Kids Classes) and swimmers who race (Pro Squads); the academy also runs adults' classes. Exact age bands: ask the academy.

What to expect

The Baby Class is a parent-and-child session of 30 minutes, working on breathing and bubbles, floating on the front and back, kicking, and dive and reach. Kids Classes run for 45 to 60 minutes, twice a week, with water confidence, water safety and basic strokes first; the academy says its coaches assess each swimmer's ability and tailor the coaching. Its Google listing photo shows a coach in the water beside a young swimmer, with floats and noodles at the poolside. Trial sessions and a kit list are not on its website, so ask about both when you call, along with the group and time that would suit your child.
