The activity

Dance, explained

Dance classes teach children to move to music with control, rhythm and expression. At a studio like this one, styles range from high-energy Bollywood and hip-hop to Indian classical forms such as Bharatanatyam and Kuchipudi, where children learn set footwork, hand gestures (mudras) and facial expression that tell a story. Lessons usually start with a warm-up, then steps and short combinations, then a routine that builds towards a class piece or stage show. Along the way children build coordination, stamina, memory and confidence in front of others. Classical styles reward steady practice over years; starting ages vary by studio and style, so ask which age each class starts at.

Who it's for

The studio says its classes suit all skill levels, from beginners to advanced dancers, and its keyboard and drum lessons are pitched at beginners and aspiring musicians of all ages. It does not publish age bands for its classes, so ask the provider which group fits your child. Google lists it as good for kids.

What to expect

Start by booking the free trial class (the studio says seats are limited) through the booking form on its contact page, or by WhatsApp or phone on +971 52 252 0646. The form asks whether you are interested in music, western dance or classical dance, which is a good moment to mention your child's age and any experience. Class length, group size, dress code and what to bring are not published, so ask the provider before the first session. The studio is inside Nesto Mia Mall, and Google lists a free car park and a wheelchair-accessible entrance, toilet and car park.
