The Tutoring Center — Dubai Hills Mall
About The Tutoring Center
The Tutoring Center has four branches in Dubai: Dubai Hills Mall, Al Furjan, Arabian Ranches 3 and Meadows Village. The US tutoring franchise has been run in the UAE by Arcadia Education since 2019. It teaches through what it calls One-to-One Instruction and the Rotational Approach to Learning: one tutor works with no more than two students, and each session moves between a 30-minute section and two 15-minute sections. The Dubai programmes cover maths, reading (K-3 and grades 4-12) and writing for K-12 children, plus a Foundation Stage programme for early phonics and number skills. Older students can get support in the British, IB and American curricula, including GCSE and IGCSE from Year 9, IB MYP and DP, and GL CAT4 and Progress Tests. Every child starts with a free diagnostic assessment. Fees are shared on enquiry.
The activity
Tuition Centre, explained
Tuition centres offer academic support outside school hours, one-to-one or in small groups, in subjects such as maths, English and reading, and help with exam preparation. Sessions are usually built around a child's school curriculum and the specific gaps a teacher or parent has spotted, so a tutor might go over a topic taught that week or work through practice papers before an exam. Many centres begin with a short assessment to find a starting point. Regular sessions tend to build confidence and steady study habits rather than being a one-off fix. Which subjects, year groups and session lengths are on offer varies from centre to centre, so it is worth asking.
Who it's for
Children and teenagers from kindergarten to Grade 12. The Academic Programmes are for K-12 students who are struggling or have fallen behind their grade level, with Enrichment and Honors programmes for those working above it. The Foundation Stage programme gives young children a head start before primary school, GCSE and IGCSE support starts from Year 9, and FastTrack Homeschooling is for homeschooled children. The centre says its Rotational Approach was first developed for children with attention and learning challenges such as ADD and ADHD.
What to expect
Start by booking the free diagnostic assessment, through the website or by phoning the branch you pick. The centre then gives you a free report on your child's strengths and weaknesses and suggests a personalised programme. For school-curriculum support, the Center Director first reviews current, target and predicted grades and any upcoming exams to build a study plan. Sessions rotate between a 30-minute section and two 15-minute sections at different stations, and the centre suggests two or three sessions a week. Every plan includes regular progress reports and flexible scheduling. Fees and lesson packages are not published online, so ask the branch.
