The activity
Tuition Centre, explained
A tuition and enrichment centre runs out-of-school programmes that build specific skills alongside what children learn at school. Depending on the centre, that can mean handwriting and fine motor practice for little ones, learning to read, maths methods, robotics and coding, or music. Children usually join one programme at a time and attend regular sessions, so a parent can target one area - a child who needs a boost with reading, say, or one who wants to try building and programming robots. It suits families looking for extra practice or a new interest outside the school day. Ask each centre how it groups children by age and level, and whether it starts with an assessment.
Who it's for
Children from toddlers upwards: SRK Writing is Fun is aimed at toddlers, while ERA Early Reading and SRK Abakada (Filipino reading) are for kids and teens. Exact age bands for each programme - ask the provider.
What to expect
Ask the provider what a first session or assessment involves, what to bring and whether a trial is offered. Ms Kristine is the contact on 050 241 0711, by phone or WhatsApp.
