Sparta Sports Academy is a Dubai sports academy that says it was founded in 2013 and runs training programmes alongside venue hire, leagues and corporate events. For children, its services page lists development programmes in badminton, football, karate, skating, aerobics, yoga, gymnastics, table tennis and tennis, each described as open to children from 3 to 18 years of age. Swimming is offered to children of all abilities from age 3, and there is a basketball programme for young players, with no age band given. The academy also lists holiday camps and weekend league matches. The contact page map points to its venue on 318th Road in Al Quoz 4, and the Google listing for that venue notes a swimming pool and free on-site parking. The activity

Multi-Sports, explained

A multi-sports academy lets children try several sports under one roof instead of committing to a single one straight away. Sessions usually build the basics that carry across games: running, jumping, balance, throwing and catching, plus sport-specific skills such as footwork on a badminton court or ball control in football. Children learn to take turns, follow a coach's instructions and play as part of a team. Many families use it to discover what their child enjoys before moving into one sport more seriously. Starting ages vary by sport, and some programmes take children from about three years old, as this academy says it does.

Who it's for

Children from 3 to 18 years in badminton, football, karate, skating, aerobics, yoga, gymnastics, table tennis and tennis; swimming for all abilities from age 3; basketball for young players (no age band published). The site also says its sports cater to all age groups and the whole family. Ask the provider about levels, girls' or mixed groups and support for children with additional needs.

What to expect

The academy does not describe a first session, a trial policy or a kit list on its website. Its programmes are described as full development programmes, and the site's own testimonials talk about coaches working on each player's weak spots in badminton. Before a first visit, ask the provider which sports run at the Al Quoz venue on which days, what the fees are, whether a trial session is possible and what your child should bring (for example trainers, water and swimwear for the pool).
