The activity

Dance, explained

Dance classes for kids build coordination, rhythm, flexibility and confidence in front of others, usually through a mix of technique drills and short routines set to music. Studios typically start younger children with a broad 'creative movement' style class before splitting into specific styles as they grow. Classes run in fixed weekly slots by style and level, and many studios build towards an in-house showcase so children have a goal to work towards. Typical starting age is around 3-4 for creative movement, moving into structured styles from 5-6.

Who it's for

Teens aged 10 to 16: the Teens Commercial class needs no previous dance experience. For children under 10, ask the studio what runs, as its posts list no younger class. The rest of the timetable is mainly adult classes, several of them ladies only.

What to expect

The Teens Commercial class is a weekly commercial dance session for ages 10 to 16, on Sundays at 3PM. The studio describes it as fresh choreography to good music, in a space where teens can express themselves, build confidence and make new friends. No dance experience is needed, so complete beginners can join. Book a place by WhatsApp on +971 50 110 5848 before the first class. The studio has not posted the fee, the class length, what to wear or whether teens can try a class first, so ask about all four when you message.
