The activity

Football, explained

Football training for kids builds ball control, teamwork and match awareness through drills and small-sided games. Children are usually grouped by age so sessions match their physical development and attention span. The youngest players focus on basic ball mastery and fun, high-repetition games, while older kids move into more structured technical and tactical work and, for those who want it, competitive squad play. Academies linked to professional clubs often follow that club's coaching method, giving a clear pathway from a child's first touches to proper team play.

Who it's for

Boys and girls in the U5 to U17 age categories at this branch. U5-U10 train from 5 to 6pm and U11-U17 from 6 to 7pm. Monday and Friday sessions are mixed, and Tuesday and Thursday sessions are boys only. The academy says its programmes are for players of all levels. It also runs a Girls Academy led by female coaches, but the website doesn't say which venues host it, so ask the academy.

What to expect

You can book a tryout before joining. Use the website's 'Tryout Now' form and choose Dubai, the Dubai Media City location and a time slot. The site doesn't say whether the tryout is free, so ask the academy. Each session lasts an hour on the AUD campus's outdoor field. When you register, you choose the full season or Term 1 and a number of sessions. Registration includes the official Nike PSG Academy kit. Payment is due at least 15 days before the start, and fees are generally non-refundable. Missed sessions aren't made up, whatever the reason. For prices, message the academy on WhatsApp.
