About PINNACLE Innovation and Education

PINNACLE Innovation and Education is a training institute in Al Nasr Plaza, next to Exit 1 of Oud Metha Metro Station. It describes itself as KHDA-approved and teaches everyone from young children to working adults, and its children's side covers coding, robotics and after-school activities. On its coding page it lists Scratch Coding for Kids for ages 6 to 10, then Python, Advanced Python, and HTML, CSS and WordPress courses for ages 10 to 16, each with a certificate at the end. For teens there is the STEM Innovator weekend bootcamp: eight weeks of Python in the first two hours and LEGO robotics in the next two, finishing with a Demo Day parents are invited to. Younger children aged 5 to 10 can join the After School Enrichment and Care Program on weekday afternoons, which mixes play, art and craft, indoor games and basic coding and robotics, with school pick-up from selected locations. Fees are not published, so ask for them when you book the free trial class.

The activity

Coding, explained

Coding classes teach children to give a computer step-by-step instructions. Younger children usually start with Scratch, a visual language where they snap together coloured blocks to make characters move, tell stories and build simple games, so they learn logic without typing lines of code. Around 10, many move on to typed languages such as Python, or build web pages with HTML and CSS. Robotics adds a physical side: children program motors and sensors so a model can follow a line or avoid obstacles. Along the way they practise breaking a problem into small steps, testing, spotting mistakes and trying again, and most classes end each unit with a small project they can show at home.

Who it's for

Children and teens. Coding: Scratch for ages 6-10; Python, Advanced Python and HTML, CSS & WordPress for ages 10-16 on the coding page (the Python course page also lists teen 11-15 and youth 16-18 groups, so check which level fits). STEM Innovator coding and robotics bootcamp: ages 10-16 on the programme page (the 2026 flyer on the same page says teens 12-17, so check your child's age fits). After School Enrichment and Care: ages 5-10. The wider after-school programme page lists kids and teens aged 6-16. The Google listing notes a wheelchair-accessible entrance, toilet, seating and car park.

What to expect

The coding page describes a four-step start: choose a course, have a free demo, enrol, then work towards the PINNACLE Certified Coder certificate. It offers a free one-hour trial class so you and your child can get a feel for the course; payment is made after the trial and is non-refundable. Your child needs their own laptop, which the coding page says is mandatory. Classes run face to face at the Oud Metha centre, and the course pages also list live online classes. The Python course is listed as 16 hours. In the weekend bootcamp, 9AM to 11AM is Python and 11AM to 1PM is LEGO robotics. Class size and fees are not published, so ask the provider.
