MMA Live Gym Dubai is a mixed martial arts and fitness gym in Al Boom Tourist Village. Its classes page lists Mixed Martial Arts, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (gi and no-gi), kickboxing and Muay Thai, and boxing, alongside functional workouts, fitness, and yoga, Pilates and stretching. The gym's membership page includes a Teens & Kids membership, and its 2025 rate card sets out monthly prices for two age bands: kids aged 6 to 11, and teens aged 12 to 16, whose membership covers all fighting sports. Teens from 15 can add the fitness and functional training classes. The gym describes itself as 'the intersection of luxury and physical well-being' and is mainly an adult membership gym, so the junior offer sits alongside a busy adult timetable. Class times for kids and teens are not published online, so message the gym for the current junior schedule. It holds a 4.6 rating on Google from 39 reviews.

The activity

Martial Arts, explained

Mixed martial arts (MMA) gyms teach a blend of fighting sports under one roof: striking styles such as boxing, kickboxing and Muay Thai, and grappling such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. For children, classes are built around technique drills, pad work, partner practice and conditioning games rather than full contact. Parents often choose martial arts for fitness, coordination, focus and confidence, and for the respect and routine a good coach builds on the mat. Starting ages vary from gym to gym, so check the youngest age a club takes and which classes a child can join before signing up.

Who it's for

Kids aged 6-11 and teens aged 12-16, on the gym's Teens & Kids membership; teens from 15 can also join the fitness and functional training classes. Levels, boys/girls groupings and any support for additional needs are not published - ask the provider.

What to expect

The gym publishes prices but not a junior timetable or a description of a first session, so message it before you go to check which class suits your child's age and when it runs. A special-offer rate card on its website lists a one-day all-access pass at AED 50 for kids (AED 100 for adults); confirm the gym still offers it before you go. It does not publish a free trial, a kit list or whether gloves and a gi are needed at the start - ask the provider. The gym is in Al Boom Tourist Village, and Google lists a wheelchair-accessible entrance and car park.
