Squash, explained

Squash is a fast racket sport played by two players in a four-walled indoor court, taking turns to hit a small rubber ball against the front wall. For children it builds speed, footwork, hand-eye coordination and stamina, and because rallies are short and the court is enclosed, even young beginners get plenty of hits in each session. Early lessons focus on holding the racket, swinging, moving around the court and simple games; match play and tactics come later.
