About La Folie UAE

La Folie is a Dubai children's entertainment and events company that has been running kids' events since 2013. It has no venue of its own: its team of hosts and coaches comes to homes, restaurants and hotels for birthdays, and it runs holiday camps with partner venues in each Dubai school break. The October 2026 half-term camp runs Monday 12 to Friday 16 October, 9am to 1pm, at two places: Grip Sports in Jumeirah Heights for ages 2.5 to 12, with daily tennis or padel, and HandPrint on Al Wanes Street, Umm Suqeim 1, for ages 3 to 12, with arts and crafts, sport and STEM. Each day mixes sport with pottery, robotics, MMA, Zumba or crafts, in two age groups. You can book the full week or single days. Outside camps, La Folie runs birthday parties for ages 1 to 13, hosted playdates and small-group child development sessions. Most of its coaches speak English, Arabic and French.

The activity

Holiday Camps, explained

A holiday camp fills a school break with a structured day of activities, so children stay busy and parents know where they are. Multi-activity camps like this one rotate through short blocks: a warm-up, a sport such as tennis, football or basketball, a snack break, then something creative or hands-on, from pottery and crafts to robotics. Children are grouped by age, so a four-year-old and a ten-year-old each get sessions pitched at their level. Half-day camps suit younger children and families who want the afternoon free. Camps build confidence, stamina and new friendships, and give children a taste of activities they might later take up properly. Many start from around age three.

Who it's for

The October 2026 camp takes children aged 2.5 to 12 at Grip Sports (groups 2.5-5 and 6-12) and 3 to 12 at HandPrint, Umm Suqeim (groups 3-5 and 6-12). La Folie's birthday parties are for ages 1 to 13, hosted playdates for ages 2 to 12, and its child development programme for ages 1.5 to 11. For special needs support, ask the provider.

What to expect

Drop-off is from 9am, with a welcome period until 9:20am, then a short morning sports warm-up. The rest of the morning is four 45-minute sessions around a half-hour snack break, ending with pick-up at 1pm. At Grip Sports, ages 2.5 to 5 play tennis every day and ages 6 to 12 play padel or tennis; the other sessions rotate through football, basketball, gymnastics, pottery, Zumba, hip-hop, MMA and robotics. Pack labelled snacks, water, a change of clothes, a hat and sun cream. A liability waiver is signed in person on the first day. Single days can be booked instead of the full week.
