About OliOli
OliOli is an indoor, air-conditioned children's play museum in Al Quoz 1, next to Oasis Centre, built on the idea that hands-on activities replace hands-off exhibits. Across two floors there are 45 hands-on exhibits spread over galleries with names like Toshi's Nets (a huge climbing and swinging net), the Air Gallery (build airplanes, rockets and hovercrafts), the Water Gallery, Cars & Ramps, Incredi-Balls ball runs and teamLab Future Park. The Toddler Gallery is designed for children from 0 to 23 months. The current temporary exhibition, Kids At Work, is a child-sized construction site with mini excavators in a giant sand pit, a crane to operate and an earthquake simulator. For general visits every child plays with an adult, and every child ticket includes one adult free; the holiday camps are the only drop-off option. Visits are booked online in 2- or 3-hour slots. In school holidays OliOli runs week-long camps; the October 2026 half-term camp, Time Trek, is for ages 3 to 10. There is also a café on site.
The activity
Indoor Play, explained
A children's play museum swaps glass cases for things to touch. Instead of reading about air pressure or engineering, children build a rocket and launch it, steer water through channels, send balls down runs they designed or climb a giant knitted net. Adults play alongside rather than watching from a bench. It suits children who learn by doing, and it builds curiosity, problem-solving, confidence with physical risk and plenty of cooperation with siblings and strangers. Babies and toddlers usually have their own sensory corner, while most exhibits suit roughly ages 2 to 11. Holiday camps at a play museum run the same idea over a week, with themed projects between gallery sessions.
Who it's for
Children of all ages, with most galleries best suited to ages 2 to 11 and a Toddler Gallery for 0 to 23 months. Tickets are priced for children aged 2-16 and toddlers aged 12-23 months; babies under 11 months go free. On general visits children must be accompanied and supervised by an adult aged 18 or over, and adults cannot visit without a child; the holiday camps are drop-off. The October 2026 half-term camp is for ages 3 to 10, grouped 3-5 and 6-10. The building has a lift and a wheelchair-accessible bathroom.
What to expect
Book a time slot online before you go; OliOli asks all guests to do this. Bring socks for everyone, as there are shoe-free, sock-only zones (you can buy a pair at reception), plus a towel and a change of clothes, because children get wet in the Water Gallery. OliOli also asks for comfy, modest clothing. Most families spend 2 to 3 hours and children typically spend around 20 minutes in each gallery. Lockers are complimentary and strollers are welcome, though at busy times they may be parked near reception. You can bring snacks to eat in the café, but outside food deliveries are not allowed. Re-entry is allowed within your ticket time if you speak to the team first.
