About KickBoxing365
KickBoxing365 is a kickboxing gym in Dubai Silicon Oasis, set up in 2019 as the DSO UAE branch of the World Kickboxing Organization (WKO). It runs a kids' kickboxing class for ages 6-12 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7-8PM, followed by a teens and adults class (ages 13-17 and 18+) from 8-9PM on the same evenings. The disciplines listed on its website are kickboxing, Muay Thai, sparring, conditioning, bag work, pad work and clinch, and its motto is "Show up. Hit pads. Leave better." Head coach Mr Smith leads the sessions, with coach Mr Akhil running pad rounds and conditioning. New students can take a free trial week, and drop-ins are welcome. The gym is in Lynx Business Tower (units 402 & 406), opposite Silicon Central Mall, and is rated 5.0 on Google from 25 reviews.
The activity
Martial Arts, explained
Kickboxing combines punches and kicks with pad work, bag work, footwork and conditioning. In a kids' class, children work through combinations called out by a coach, hit pads held by a partner or instructor, and do fitness drills between rounds. It builds coordination, stamina, confidence and the habit of listening to instructions, and it gives energetic children a structured outlet. Many clubs take beginners from around primary-school age, and no previous experience is needed to start; how much sparring is included varies by club and level, so it is worth asking before the first session.
Who it's for
Kids aged 6-12 in the 7PM class; teens aged 13-17 train in the 8PM teens and adults class. Drop-ins are welcome and new students get a free trial week.
What to expect
Kids' classes run Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 7-8PM, and doors open 30 minutes before each class. The gym's advice on kit is "Bring water. Bring tape. We'll handle the rest." Its own line of wraps, gloves, shin guards and shorts is available through its gear shop at evolvesportz.com, with a 10oz glove listed at AED 99. New students can start with a free trial week, and drop-ins are welcome. Fees for ongoing classes after the trial are not published, so ask the provider.
