About InnerFight
InnerFight is a Dubai gym and coaching company, founded in 2008 and now based at Olivara Residences & Park on Hessa Street in Studio City. Most of what it does is adult classes, personal training and endurance coaching, but it also runs the InnerFight Youth Program, a coaching pathway for children and teens aged 5 to 18. The programme has four stages: Discover (5-7) is about loving movement through games and exploration; Build (8-10) develops broad athleticism and strength foundations; Develop (11-13) brings more structured training plus an understanding of recovery and nutrition; and Perform (14-18) combines strength and conditioning with leadership, goal setting and independent training. The youth coach, Sarah Laws, has more than 10 years of experience coaching children and works on the idea of mastering the basics first. No previous sport is needed, and the club says it suits children who don't think of themselves as sporty. Classes run on weekday afternoons, Friday lunchtime and Sunday mornings, and there is a free trial so children can be placed in the right stage.
The activity
Fitness Classes, explained
Youth fitness classes teach children how to move well before they worry about how much they lift. Younger children learn running, jumping, crawling, balancing and throwing through games, then add simple bodyweight strength work such as squats, pull-up progressions and rope climbs. Older children and teens move on to more structured strength and conditioning, with coaches teaching technique first and adding load slowly. Alongside fitness, good sessions build coordination, confidence, teamwork and an understanding of how training, sleep and food fit together. Many programmes, like this one, start at around five, and children do not need to be sporty or have trained before to join.
Who it's for
Children and teens aged 5-18, in four stages: Discover 5-7, Build 8-10, Develop 11-13 (Pre-Teens on the timetable) and Perform 14-18 (Teens on the timetable). Beginners and children already playing sport are both welcome; coaching is adapted to each child's starting point. The rest of the gym's classes and pricing are for adults.
What to expect
Sessions mix age-appropriate movement, skill work, strength, fitness and teamwork. The youngest groups learn through movement games and exploration; older groups follow more structured training, with coaches focusing on movement quality and good technique. Your child needs comfortable training clothes, suitable trainers and a water bottle. The first step is a free trial session, which lets your child try the coaching and environment and helps the team confirm which stage fits. Book it through the trial form on the InnerFight website, or ask by phone or WhatsApp. Session length and youth fees are not published, so ask the provider when you book the trial.
