How much does it cost?

The programme pages (last updated in 2023) list programme fees of 4,700 AED for Touch, 3,500 AED for Tech-BJU and Tech-AOP, 5,500 AED for Online Academy, and 6,695 to 7,422 AED for Online Academy Plus depending on grade. Curriculum materials are charged on top, from 800 AED to 2,500 AED depending on the programme. Confirm current fees with the provider.

The programmes carry Philippine and US accreditation, with grade ranges that vary by programme. US accreditation comes through HG's affiliation with the US homeschool provider Wellspring. Ask the provider how the records work for your child's school or university plans in the UAE.

Do I have to teach my child myself?

It depends on the programme. Touch is parent-led with an advisor's guidance. Online Academy delivers daily video lessons with a class advisor. Online Academy Plus has daily live online classes with teachers, so parental involvement is very low.

Sign up for the free online homeschool orientation on the website, watch it, then choose a programme and fill in the enrolment form. Enrolment cycles vary: for example, Online Academy Plus enrols in September.

Can my child try it first?

No trial is published. The free homeschool orientation is the first step; ask the provider for anything more.

Homeschool Global Middle East (HGME) runs homeschooling programmes for families across the Gulf from its regional office in the Al Shoala Building, Port Saeed, Deira, beside Deira City Centre. Homeschool Global began in the Philippines in 1999, when it became a recognised Home Education Program through its partner school, and has served families in the Middle East since 2016, starting with hubs in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Your child studies at home, and HG provides the curriculum, an advisor, assessments, school records and accreditation: Philippine and US, the US side through an affiliation with the homeschool provider Wellspring. There are five programmes, from parent-led Touch (Nursery to Grade 12) to Online Academy Plus, with live online classes taught by teachers. Families also get student clubs, parent training and events. In 2025 the Dubai hub hosted a Student Summit for students from its hubs in the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Fees are published on each programme page.

The activity

Tuition Centre, explained

Homeschooling means your child learns at home instead of attending school every day, with a parent guiding the work. An umbrella programme like this one supplies the parts a family cannot easily do alone: a curriculum (printed books, online courses or video lessons), an advisor who checks progress, tests and grading, school records and accreditation so the years count towards a recognised diploma. Families pick how involved they want to be, from fully parent-led to live online classes taught by teachers. It suits children who need a flexible timetable, such as young athletes or families who move often, and it can start from the preschool years.

Who it's for

Children from Nursery to Grade 12, depending on the programme: Touch covers Nursery to Grade 12, Tech-BJU Pre-K to Grade 10, Tech-AOP Grade 3 to Grade 12, Online Academy K to Grade 10 and Online Academy Plus K to Grade 11. It suits families who want their child to learn at home, from parents who want to lead every lesson to those who want teachers to do most of the teaching. For exceptional and challenged learners, an optional service called The Learning Curve adds a specialist and a modified approach to the Touch programme.

What to expect

The first step is a free online homeschool orientation. Sign up and you also get free chapters of the book "Why You Should Homeschool". After the orientation you choose a programme, complete the enrolment form, confirm the admission offer and pay. Each programme lists its parental involvement: high for Touch, medium for the Tech programmes, low for Online Academy and very low for Online Academy Plus. Recommended learning time is 1 to 3 hours for preschool, 3 to 5 hours for grade school and 4 to 6 hours for high school. Assessment is by portfolio review on Touch and by online tests on the others. There is no published trial class: ask the provider.
