About Hip Hop Cardio

Hip Hop Cardio is a Dubai dance school running kids' classes at Bhype Studio in Al Quoz, alongside separate adult cardio-dance classes. Its kids programme, Hip Hop Cardio Kids, introduces children to hip hop, breakdance, Afro dance and dancehall, plus TikTok dance routines and challenges, with the aim of letting them release energy to their favourite music, make friends and build confidence. The 2026 timetable has two groups, 4-5 year olds and 6-11 year olds, with classes from Wednesday to Sunday, and families sign up by the term (1 September to 13 December 2026) at one, two or three sessions a week, with a sibling discount. A single trial session costs AED 60. The school says its instructors have more than 15 years' experience and come from France, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and the UAE. It is rated 4.7 on Google from 31 reviews.

The activity

Hip Hop & Street Dance, explained

Hip hop and street dance classes teach children choreography to hip hop and pop music, building rhythm, coordination, stamina and the confidence to perform in a group. A typical class opens with a warm-up, breaks a routine into short step-by-step sections, then puts the whole combination together to the music. Many schools also teach related styles such as breakdance, with floor work and freezes, or Afro dance and dancehall, with their own grooves. It suits children who love moving to music and prefer a relaxed, energetic class to the formal positions of ballet, and beginners usually start in a foundations group before moving up to more advanced routines.

Who it's for

Children aged 4-5 and 6-11, in the two age groups on the 2026 class schedule; boys and girls both register. The 6-11 group has an Advanced Hip Hop class on Fridays as well as regular hip hop and breakdance. The school also runs separate adult classes.

What to expect

You can book a single trial session for AED 60 through the New Term 2026 registration form before committing to a term. The 4-5s have a 40-minute class (Wednesday 4pm-4.40pm hip hop, Saturday 10am-10.40am Hip Hop Initiation); the 6-11s have hour-long hip hop or breakdance classes, and a 75-minute Advanced Hip Hop class on Fridays. Classes cover steps and technique across hip hop, breakdance and Afro dance, with room for kids to bring their own style. What to wear and whether parents can watch are not published - ask the provider.
