Go-Pro Sports Football Academy Dubai (established 2012) runs football coaching from age 4 up to U19 squads, with separate boys' and girls' academies, at two school sites: Dubai English Speaking College (DESC) in Academic City and American School of Dubai (ASD) in Al Barsha 1. The activity

Football, explained

Football training teaches kids ball control, passing, positioning and match play through structured drills and small-sided games, building fitness, teamwork and confidence along the way. Coaches usually group children by age and ability, starting with fun, movement-based sessions for the youngest players before bringing in more technical and tactical coaching as they progress. Many children start with an introductory group at around four or five, and older, more committed players can move into squads that play in weekend leagues and tournaments. Sessions usually run after school or at weekends, and kids typically need boots, shin pads and a water bottle for every session.

Who it's for

Boys and girls from age 4. The FUNdamentals programme is an introductory group for players aged 4 to 7; the boys' academy then runs Emerging Talent (7-11) and the Go-Pro Pathway (11-16), with U19 and senior groups at DESC. The girls' academy is described as for girls aged 8 to 18 in the 2026/27 prospectus (the website's girls' page says 10-18), with DESC groups from U8. Each level has a recreational tier for a calmer, fun environment, a developmental squad for more committed players who play in leagues, and an invitation-only Go-Pro Pathway for the most advanced players.

What to expect

Book a free trial through the academy's free-trial page or by emailing [email protected]; trials need to be booked in advance, and the 2026/27 season opened with a pre-season warm-up and trials week from 31 August to 4 September. Once you sign up and pay, your child receives full Go-Pro New Balance training and match kit. Squad players are expected to train at least twice a week, and weekend league and tournament play is optional, with its own separate fees. The prospectus notes that schedules may change, so confirm your child's group and time with the academy before the first session.
